Hello, my name is
SARAH ROSE.
I’m an international journalist, writer, and brand-marketing creative — plus the lead singer of a pretty cool rock band.
I most recently worked as a news writer for AIN Media Group, reporting globally on the latest in the aerospace industry. Prior to that, I was a journalist and news writer for Georgia Public Broadcasting, Georgia's NPR and PBS affiliate station.
I've also previously worked for a variety of national nonprofit organizations in leadership and outreach roles – including as Care2's Marketing Manager and Senior LGBTQ Issues Advocate, as well as a National Organizer for RepresentUs.
Earlier in my career, I served as a legislative assistant in the U.S. Congress.
I'm a proud 2012 graduate of Kennesaw State University with a Bachelors of Science in Political Science.

I’m at my most passionate as a journalist when telling the human side of a story — illuminating a person’s passions, struggles, conflicts, and aspirations.

Outreach, Marketing, Public Relations
I help organizations find their voice — and make sure the right people hear it.
Content Strategy · Media Relations · Community Engagement · Ad Campaign Management
I've partnered with nonprofits, advocacy organizations, and public companies to sharpen their brand messaging, grow their audiences, and generate real media attention across platforms, regions, and cultures.
At Care2, I led international advocacy campaigns that landed coverage on CNN, BBC, Al Jazeera, The Guardian, Fox News, MSNBC, the Daily Mail, Entertainment Tonight, and more. I shaped the platform's brand voice, launched social campaigns that reached audiences worldwide, drove targeted email outreach, and directed press strategy across multiple regions.
As National Organizer at RepresentUs during the 2018 midterms, I built a nationally connected grassroots network and developed messaging strategies that contributed to 28 ballot-measure victories. Proof that the right message, delivered to the right people, can change outcomes.

Music
While some know me for my work in journalism and marketing, I've spent the past decade as the lead singer of the cabaret-punk band Sarah and the Safe Word.
With the band, I've racked up 30 million Spotify streams, signed with Take This to Heart Records (distributed by Warner Music), sold out shows across the U.S. and Europe, and built a devoted global fan community from the ground up using the same grassroots marketing instincts I bring to everything else I do.
Running a band is running a brand. It has sharpened how I think about audience-building, international reach, and leading a team under pressure in ways no marketing textbook could.
Creativity and strategy don't live in separate worlds. Together, they make stories more powerful and brands more human.
